COGS added more than 50 new members to its ranks during our Spring Organizing Blitz! Thanks to all the volunteers who contributed many hours to going on office and house visits, and welcome to all our new members. You’ll be receiving an info pack from us soon, which will include great information and your Discount Card!
Not a member yet? If you want to have a say over our priorities in bargaining our next contract in the fall, and if you want to get to know other graduate employees from around the campus, COGS is for you. Send us an email with any questions you might have, or if you’d like a COGS member to bring you a card to sign.
Remember, Iowa is a “right to work” state, which means employees have a choice about whether or not to join the union representing them in negotiations. You are not automatically a COGS member when you sign your contract with your department! Please explore our website to learn more about the benefits of being a member.
